Eliquis 5mg Tablets (Apixaban)
Eliquis 5mg Tablets contain Apixaban, a prescription anticoagulant (blood thinner) that belongs to a class of medicines called direct Factor Xa inhibitors. Eliquis is prescribed to reduce the risk of stroke and systemic embolism in adults with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation, treat deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE), reduce the risk of recurrent DVT and PE, and help prevent blood clots after hip or knee replacement surgery.
Manufactured by Bristol Myers Squibb, Eliquis is widely prescribed because it does not require routine INR monitoring like warfarin when used according to prescribing guidelines.
